After a long and fun week, Spruce is proud to unveil our newest retail creations available in our store and on Etsy!
With a little TLC, we got the wood back to its (stunning) original state and then rebuilt it using amazing vintage fabric:

Can I get a close up??

It is such a stunning combination of hard lines and soft curves; I think the pattern is bold without being overpowering and the color palette is simply brilliant. Basically, I LOVE IT!
Next, you may recall the antique chair that looked like it belonged to the same family as the settee:

Let me just tell you, handling 50+ year old horse hair does not do wonders for the lungs. We got rid of everything and built it back up, this time using everyone’s favorite Chiang Mai Schumacher fabric:

Even cuter than its rocking chair cousin, this one is sure to fly out of the shop – maybe to your house? In fact, we made a few throw pillows from the extra material, and they sold within 24 hours!* I may just have to take this little gem home myself, except that I am daydreaming of a certain wingback . . .
[* Check out our Etsy site for our great new gaggle of throw pillows!]
Well how do you like me NOW!

(Answer: I love you, I need you, BE MINE!!). That same great vintage fabric, on a wingback, plus freshly painted Art Deco-esque legs? Be still, my beating heart!
And what about that pair of funky courthouse chairs you ask?

We treated the wood, retied the springs and finished with a clean heavy linen, which really brings out the shape:

I love how the neutral palette really lets the subtle curves of the frame speak for itself; you just can’t beat quality craftsmanship. As an added bonus, this pair complements just about any design scheme. Yours, perhaps?
Finally, we freshly painted and added down seat cushions out of a cherry blossom Osbourne and Little fabric:

Stylish, sophisticated, feminine - this pair has it all.
But seriously folks, if you want to talk about chair envy, check out these projects we recently completed for a client in New York:
Up first, a pair of barrel chairs with Paul Smith for Maharam and Mod Green Pod fabric on the interiors and Paul Smith and Hable fabric on the exteriors (plus awesome bulls eye tacks!).

Next up, this adorable arm chair in Designer’s Guild:

So cute!
And finally, on a personal note – I finally completed my toilet paper roll art project (which I first mentioned here!). Thanks again for the inspiration, Growing up Creative! (via Design Sponge). I love the way it turned out:

Thats all for now! Check back soon for more great before and afters!
We carry all fabrics featured in this blog. Come by the store to check them out!
